Homemade Oreos

This is not my recipe, but I love it. They're lots of fun to make and . . . well eat. Oh, and easy too. Feel free to half the recipe, it makes a lot.

Cookies:
2 pks Devil's Food Cake mix
4 eggs
1 ½ cups shortening

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix cake mix, eggs, and shortening to form dough. Roll dough into 1in balls. Put 20-24 dough balls on a cookie sheet and cook 8-10 min.

White Stuff:
2-4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter
8 oz cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla to make the filling and spread between 2 cookies. Yum!
